PROLIFE, You think it takes a masters degree to lay brick? paint? roof? harvest cotton? do autobody work? cut grass? assemble cars? .....I could go on and on and on and on. People do these jobs(or at least did when they were there) day in and day out and many never even finished high school......WHO is going to do them if they all are "liberal arts" Phds?? You kidding me?
I said it takes and education/trade to survive in a ever changing high tech society. Car mechanics have to be able to read, interpret the written word, problem solve, and then have the ability to apply what they have read. Farmers can set in their air conditioned combines and tractor, and allow GPS drive their tractors and distribute the fertilizer, seed, and other chemicals. Yes, individuals can be hired to do minimal task, but, not earn enough to support a family.
My wife worked for the Child Support Agency. Dead beat Dads, worked for cash, moved around to other States and did not support their newly born children. If caught many would rather go to jail and live off you and I as tax payers. As I previously expressed mothers, after 5 years ultimately gave up their right to their children, and the grandmother took them in as a foster parent as awarded by the court. Personally, right or wrong, I was amazed that the courts abided under such a procedure - but according to social caseworkers, lawyers, a circuit judge, child support agency, and juvenile parole officer this is many times what occurs.
I know many of us may not like this procedure, behaviors of other, or developing events. But, that is what occurs. The lawyers on this site may have a different interpretation on this manner than the above individuals I have spoken. |
