Dear George, obviously you are a believer of the "perfectly efficient market." But the truth is, Wall Street is not perfect, and some times only the rumor grinding machine is efficient.
I firmly believ that the short sellers are in control of the stock price currently, since September. The only way the short losing is for the longs to fight back. George, stock price does not have a bottom once a bear cap is on. If the rumor drinding machine is as efficient as it is now, if the short sellers can still borrow more shares to sell, I don't think current level is a good buy, although fundamentally I believe Cymi's fair market value is at least $30.
If the shorts are radom, non educated person like myself, a sudden spurt in short interest is bullish. It means they have to cover eventually. But I believe those short sellers are not the usual innocent people like you or me, they have many weapons to drive down the stock. And they probably can torelate billions of dollars in paper loss and still drive home their eagle. Even the smart analysts have to wait and see if "the dust is going to settle."
Time for the longs to do something. |
