So, there should be something of a shift occurring among the geeky crowd to photo-speak as the competition shifts that way ? Assuming that view of the entry into the feature wars proves correct.

So, you should see the "size matters" argument being whipped out along with the other feature related issues that we've been chatting about in considering phones as cameras:

What that leaves, still, is the issue we'd discussed here before in relation to "price wars"...

Because, one of the key points the above point out... is that while "bigger is better" isn't in dispute, neither is "bigger costs more".

The only clear big winner in a market where there is a pairing of competition in camera features and a price war... is going to be the guys making the chips for the camera sensors being put into the phones ?

That should be true... even as the camera makers lose market share... because the phones are a larger market ?
