I got a response to my Pogoplug help ticket, but by then I had figured out a couple things by myself.

One thing the response told me was that the 'processing' of files takes quite a long time. I presume this means building thumbnail images for photos and so forth. The ticket said a 1TB drive with lots of movies and photos took two days to 'process.' I don't have anything like that.

I added a comment for additional clarification to my help ticket, but I haven't got a response yet.

It's offering 'Companion Software' that supposedly lets you manage your files on the usb portable drive, but it costs another $30 and is only for one computer. Once again, the 'help' function isn't clear on how it is supposed to work and I don't want to shell out the money until I know.

I don't do system backups and have never had the need for one. I just want to be able to get my files from different computers or when I'm traveling.
