LNG exports - Interesting news from Oregon. (The enviros in Oregon and Washington State are as opposed to energy exports, or any other economic development of any kind, just as fiercely as the British Columbia fanatics)

CENTRALIA, Wash. —A major natural gas supplier plans an expansion of its existing pipeline system along the Interstate 5 corridor in Western Washington to send gas from Canada to a liquefied natural gas export terminal at Warrenton, Ore.

The Williams company of Tulsa plans 136 miles of 36-inch diameter pipe and upgrades of compressor facilities at Sumas, Mount Vernon, Snohomish, Sumner and Chehalis.

Oregon LNG wants an increase in 750 million cubic feet a day of natural gas for the terminal where it plans to liquefy the gas and ship it to Pacific Rim markets. A proposed 86-mile Oregon pipeline would connect at Woodland.

Williams is seeking permits from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.

The Chronicle reports (http://is.gd/o2QGOl) an open house on the project will be April 17 in Chehalis.
