Where did you hear that Oracle and Netscape were having a press conference..?

I can only think its a closer alliance of some form.. dare one say potential merger with NC. Inc. Perhaps the Navio merger was a dry run for the real thing.

It just makes so much sense to have NC Inc. integrate browser technology into NC Operating system, which would provide the user layer/access for MSFT competing e-tools such as WP/Spreadsheets/mail/presentation stuff.
All running on a large Database server within an NC architecture.

If it is this I think it will be a great shot in the arm for Oracle..
and will really bring the fight into MSFT's back yard.

Browser and OP. Sys, in this case NCOS, as one integrated product.
Then hook AAPL into the equation providing the devices themselves and it all starts to look very very interesting. IMHO.

This sort of approach, would make ORCL as a company look very much like MSFT, but with an infinitely better pedigree in developing quality software.. from RDBMS/Dev Tools/Apps/e-commerce etc etc.

But there again. I might be completely wrong.. but its interesting to speculate.

Good luck

Brendan
