I was introduced to QDRX from an article in the Providence Sunday Journal a couple of years ago. It went into great detail about the shady character of the prior management. Not much could be done about them and the article went on to say that this company could fold soon but was having new life breathed into it by Palermo. It was front page and a couple inside. It talked about the death of the defense industry in our area and how it could kill a small company like QDRX but this company looked like it was trying to hang on and change directions. The insertion of Palermo as CEO was one of those changes. Yes, it has taken some time and yes it has taken some share dilution but I have seen the products. When the article was printed there were no products except the tape stuff that was being used on Subs and Airplanes for the defense industry.

This small area of the country has been hurt badly by the cut backs in the defense industry. Electric Boat is a huge company but is now just struggling. The Quincy shapyard shut down. An air base on the Cape was shut down. Now taken over lightly by the National Guard. Coast Guard Bases closed. The biggest hospital in the area shut down Chelsea Naval Hospital. Newport Navy Base is at half strength. The suppliers to this industry have been hurt real bad.

I feel encouraged that QDRX has tried to go into a new direction and keep afloat. I'm willing to give them more time. You may not be willing to give them the time needed, that's your decision to make. I have seen progress in this little company in the past couple of years. Nothing huge but progress.
