It is interesting that you mention tendency for an overbought market to continue to move higher. I have subscribed on and off to The Chartist newsletter thechartist.com over the years, and one feature of bull markets that they have always talked about is that exact tendency. In fact, they almost never buy into a market that is NOT overbought. Unfortunately, because of this, their last two buy signals have come near peaks, with the market stalling shortly thereafter, and with their stop loss points set at -10%, they have taken a hit both times.
