I think that what Steady is referring is a philisophical difference in approach to investing. "Longs" believe in a stock. Period. There is no logical arguing with it.

Most bashers are skeptics. Not just to JBI, but to all stocks. Basically, they won't buy unless the stock passes every conceivable test, and have firm financial benchmarks that they hold a stock to before they even look at it.

Let's face it, every stock has a good story. Unless you are very good at playing the "story", you will always lose. It has been done and is very lucrative.

So yes Steady, you are being asked to "prove", not just believe, that JBI can make fuel for $10/hour. ANd make unequivical statements about innocence wrt beign a paid pumper. This board deals in absolutes... within reason.

My last search criteria for stock was (in the Canadian market):
- earnings growth over 5% year for 3 years
- P/E lower than 8
- Dividend yield greater than 4% or something

You would be surprised what turns up. If your time frame is years... it is quite lucrative. About 30 excellent stocks result from this. After I get that list, I look for a 'story' or great idea.

having said that, I am down about 20% capital-wise since February. I intend to double-down. No problem on blue chips. In the LT, dividends are awesome.

JBI would not even appear on the radar.

But, to each their own. Steady has every right to play the game his way.
