One too many Bears ? There is a river in Northern Ontario know to me that local lore claims it to be one of the 3 best Brook Trout streams in the world .

Any pool you cast into on this river a trout is caught every time . If you come back the next day it is full again . The feeder lake is about 3 miles away maybe 50 - 70 miles from the nearest rd . The only way in is to fly . You need people with Bear experience plus it is remote so no mistakes kind of experienced woods men .

In that area a teenage Bear has never seen a human and has no idea he should be afraid . So if he decides your food is worth a fight look out .

Growing up in the city there is always a concern for me any one born in the north usually does not have . They say just leave a portable radio on . Too easy !

My thinking is that this lake is full of big Brookies . But the thought of a Black Bear sneaking to the island at night keeps me from going .

Been chased off a camp site before . Typical southern wants to take bacon and eggs . Black Bears will walk 10 miles to get that bacon .

Was on my bucket list but may just let it go .
