Michelle's choosing a fashion from a French firm is in keeping with the Obama's current politics. Why did she not choose an American designer and maker? The outfit Michelle had on was certainly a 'garden party' style outfit such as one would wear as a young woman or even a teenager. Michelle is neither. In contrast to Michelle's looking like a teenage girl is the Duchess of Cambridge dressed tastefully for the occasion. Regardless of style, the $6,800.00 price tag is outlandish. If Mrs. Obama truly cared about the people of America she would not be spending thousands of dollars on her attire and hundreds of thousands on the lavish vacations requiring secret service and transportation costs paid for by American taxpayers.
