Sure a business owner has that right----example-----about 10 years ago I needed to have the underground sprinkler system checked/serviced. The man who owned the company that installed the systems in the neighborhood came and did the work. He had also built a landscaping business. We talked about planting bushes. He was drawing up a plan for approval. (Note he was not a recent immigrant looking for a quick landscaping job, he was the man who had done all of the installation of sprinkler systems in the neighborhood when it was built) He then went on vacation and said we would firm up everything after the vacation. He was the owner of the company. He came back-----I called several times-------finally, he was direct and told me that he had a large job and would not do my smaller job. The man who owned the company made a conscious decision not to do the work that we had already been plannning. In fact, he chose to do the large contract and ignore the smaller job I had of about $1,000.00 Who knows why-----that was his decision. So, I moved on to working with someone else .
