Without any intent to give personal offense, and to put this as delicately as my beliefs allow me to, bullshit.

You don't negate and reverse a 2000 year meaning of a word just because some gays decide they want their homosexual relationship to have a greater degree of social acceptance. I have no problem with civil unions laws that provide hospital visitation rights and inheritance rights and other aspects of equality, but it ain't a marriage.

So far, the voters in 31 states appear to agree with me.

Last I looked, that's still a majority of our 57 states.

Edit: Basically, I'm disagreeing with your acceptance of the inevitability of our culture losing this fight.
