To all:

Last night's announcement from Intel could be both a blessing and curse. For sure, volatility will be even greater now for the tech sector. I've been holding Intel since 1987, been through at least 4 serious 20% declines in the stock. I don't want to experience another, definitely not 2 years in a row. OPEN YOUR EYES everyone! the numbers (reported by Intel) were percentage-wise, better in 1995 than now. Gross numbers are of-course better now, thank God. But if we were all wipe-silly last September-October, it could happen again in 1996, despite the fact that the FED might not raise rates this YEAR!!

I appeal to those of you with experience in married-puts strategies to help me determine the proper out-of-the-money (short, or long-term) put to buy now. (although not-exactly 'married' since I 've bought Intel some 9 years ago...) I figure with the increased vol's today, even Jan99 70 puts might be trading at round 3.50

Comments very very welcome....
