Greetings from Credit Union world. For everyone's info, things have been moving but a little slow. Here's an update.

> Purdue Empl. Fed. Credit Union installed it's third kiosk using finger imaging ID. Their CEO presented a program at our recent CU Technology conference and pointed out they signed up more than 770 new credit union members without a bit of labor. They're well pleased with the product and will continue their expansion plans. The third unit now installed was originally planned for next summer. Their business partners are Real Time Data Management and NRI.

> Real Time Data Management sold another system to a 6,000 member CU (much smaller than Purdue) to be used for member identification at the teller stations. The company is gearing up its marketing plans for their biometric products.

> A major financial technology supplier (Sorry, but unnamed for now) is finalizing a contract with NRI. They have 2-3 credit unions lined up for installation.

> The "Biometric Digest" newsletter is sponsoring "Banking on Biometrics '98" targeting financial institutions. The conference dates are March 24-26, 1998 at the INFOMART in Dallas, Texas. Registration info and 4 pages of details (speakers, costs, agenda, etc.) is available from our InfoFAXX-on-demand system at (800) 700-3299. Request file 316. The conference web site is at www.biodigest.com/bio98 but needs some fine tuning. Stop back in a week or so if you have problems viewing or printing.

You can get a sample of the newsletter by requesting file 512.

> Biometrics continues to be a hot item in credit union circles.

> Not yet confirmed, but the NRI technology may be on display at a major credit union technology conference set for the middle of February in Anaheim, CA.

------------------------

That's it for now. Once some of the above is finalized, I will be glad to share this with you.
