In June the Colombian government announced that is is going to open up mining reserves in various departments including Vaupes and Amazonas. Unfortunately Cosigo is probably the first drilling application in this area, so we will have to go through the growing pains while the Ministry of Environment establishes the protocol for Cosigo and future applications. I am confident that the permit will come through, if it did not it would be create a great disincentive for other exploration companies to bid on the soon to be released reserves in Vaupes and Amazonas. colombiareports.com RR
