Want to take Moneta on a Road-test ?
The following is from the end of an unrelated article - "American radio systems revisited" I can e-mail the entire article if it disappears from the present location: cbs.marketwatch.com CBS MarketWatch StockWatch Wed Nov 26 18:09 1997
Outside of technology, gold investors are still wringing their hands as the price of the metal flirts with 12 1/2-year lows. Robert Bishop of Gold Mining Stock Report calls the current market for gold and gold stocks "metastatic."
Bishop, a longtime gold editor, says, "For those not familiar with the term, metastatic refers to the process of disease transmission from an original site to one or more sites elsewhere in the body." He's referring to central banks from Australia, Switzerland, Germany and so on, all of them taking steps to dump part of their gold reserves on the open market, thus driving the price of the metal lower and lower.
Prognosis: Bishop says investors should keep their eyes on gold mining candidates that seem poised to discover deep deposits. Many, like Corriente, trade in Canada but explore in South America. The price of the metal Wednesday fell below $300 an ounce for the first time in more than 12 years.

For discussion only, - as CORRIENTE RES INC (CTQ-TC) Canada - Toronto is the designated example of an "ideal target", how does Moneta compare ?
Please remember mention of Corriente in any news article may skew its price upwards for a while relative to Moneta's and this should be factored out. perhaps including unmentioned companies similar to Corriente would level the field with regard to price performance. Similar fundamentals, I hope to be the point of interest. The price should simply follow.
In the nutshell, I am thinking about a vast number of portfolios which today no longer contain the rule of thumb 10% gold related hedge due to recent deflation in the mining sector. Investors will be looking to add/restore back to the 10% position. Smart investors will do more.
They know a "desirable" mining company's value outperforms an actual rise in gold price by about 10 to 1. Is moneta one of the companies they will be looking at. Is moneta a desirable target for this situation. I'm looking at the why, and why not.
I will be examining the situation from this viewpoint on my own, but invite participation.
