Very bad choice. He did not hold up against other GOP candidates in the runoff.

A nice guy? Yes. Capable of bringing Minnesota? Doubtful. A safe choice? Yes.

Now if Romney wants to play it the safe way like our so-called GOP experts tell us each day (Dewhurst etc.), then the former Minnesota Governor should be chosen.

Those who would suggest that Pawlenty as a good choice must believe that GOP caution is essential since Obama is such a strong candidate.

I am of the opinion that Obama will lose by at the least the same margin as McCain.

I say, pick a strong VP candidate who is viewed as having high potential as a VP and as a solid Romney replacement. And that is not Pawlenty.
