The difference is not apparent to me. Stock prices are acting as expected, if not "as hoped". (Perhaps:..If the US dollar is stronger than the Canadian dollar the US price of a stock will appear to be weaker than the Canadian dollar price. But that's just appearance... actual price stays the same whether expressed in Canadian or US dollars).
