I have a call in to try to obtain further details about the "discrepant" material. It seemed odd to me also because for many years I worked in quality control for a number of large companies. I was involved in source inspection, receiving inspection, and line inspection and although this situation is not uncommon I am curious to know how their product got all the way up the line without somebody detecting something. I will let you know what I find out.

In the mean-time I have been speaking with my broker who tells me that Needham has reiterated their "buy" recommendation even after adjusting projected earnings for current quarter and FY '98. I don't have a copy of the latest Needham abstract but I understand that they feel PRLX will have a very strong second-half. There is strong favor cast upon the contract with Sheldahl and they imply that PRLX's contract with Motorola, which is a significant one to begin with, is being increased by 20%. Incidentally, the defective circuits were supposed to go to Motorola and even in light of the bad news they see fit to increase their contract with PRLX.

As I hear more I will pass it along.
