I paid in for about 47 years and now pay about $130 a month. So I have paid a lot of money into medicare, but it is now manageable and I have wonderful health insurance. I planned my life like that. The dems would like for everyone to have what I have. The pubs want to get rid of it and turn everything over to private insurance which would be a disaster. Those friends of mine who do not have medicare and must pay for private insurance are hurting big time.
