Don, (Off Topic)

The Asian problem is not a way to time the market. It will take time to play out and become obvious.

Apparently the $20 billion offered to S.Korea is a drop in the bucket and they have turned it down as inadequate.

A big danger is when it becomes obvious that China proper is suffering the same disease. Then you will have the dynamics become clearer as to how the trade relationships between the big players, China, Korea, and Japan will be affected by the currency devaluations.

This will be a battle for market share reminiscent of the "beggar thy neighbor" policies of the 1930's. Throw in SE Asia, European umemployment, Russian chaos, and a slowing economy here, and we have an intersting stew. As in deep trouble.

I need to correct my figures. 30% of our trade is done with Asia per Allen Sinai.
