Elmo I do not think that the baby boomer had such a great impact on the world economy.

I hang my hat on the fact that commercial banks engaged in leveraging their balance sheet to extremes, pension fund hungry for yield mushroomed and enabled the issuance MBS and LBO debt including “PIK” debt etc., which then directly affected the justification of the issuance of 4 letters financial assets based on smoke and mirrors and hope, which then where sliced and diced in tranches etc.,

All those shenanigans brought the world economy to its knees
