Order From U.S. Army Reserves

Support Equipment Includes Armored Vehicle Mounts and Wireless Kits

SAN DIEGO, CA, Aug 07, 2012 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- LRAD Corporation (LRAD),
the world's leading provider of long range acoustic hailing devices (AHDs),
announced today it has received a new $1.9 million order from the U.S. Army
Reserves for LRAD 500X(TM) and LRAD 100X(TM) systems and support equipment
including vehicle mounts and wireless kits. The order is scheduled to ship this
quarter.

"We're pleased to receive this latest order from the U.S. Army Reserves to equip
more of their vehicles, including MRAPs and HMMWVs, with LRAD systems," commented
Tom Brown, president and CEO of LRAD Corporation. "Using our proprietary long
range communication technology to broadcast highly intelligible warnings and
commands helps keep soldiers safe within their armored vehicles and can prevent
innocent civilian casualties by creating large standoff zones, unequivocally
determining the intent of security threats at distance and limiting the
escalation of force by resolving uncertain situations peacefully."

Lightweight and power efficient, LRAD 100X and LRAD 500X systems transmit
focused, multi-language voice commands and deterrent tones that can be clearly
heard and understood over background noise in any type of terrain and environment
over distances from 500 yards to 1.5 miles. The vehicle mounts and wireless kits
provide the U.S. Army with multiple options for deploying LRAD systems in a
variety of applications.

Brown added, "After extensive testing and rigorous deployments in theaters of
operation, LRAD systems continue to be the U.S. Army Reserves AHD of choice for
vehicle mounted solutions."
