Just back last night after 22 days in France, splitting time between deep countryside chateau and 3 days of Paris light. Erita likes horses, and Jack adores France, from cream to ice cream, olives to pâté, farm machinery to farm girls, and the backyard w/ deers, boars, rabbits, and 7 cats.
And French food was fab, of course.
Am happy to be back in Hong Kong, noisy, polluted, crowded, and featuring delicious Shanghai dumplings delivered to home last night for dinner. Just super.
As mentioned earlier, I did good's work, saving souls, convincing a China hedge fund manager borne of peasantry parents and a German family of global note for past few centuries that both should deal-in at least 5% to gold. Both knew some things about gold but had heretofore never made a move.
I note that whenever the kids go on a long trip they return taller, wiser, and happier, and better still, erita bothered to write her diary w/o prompting!
Good news, the kids engaged w/ hanging out, w/ old friends, and older kin.
No surprise news, Jack likes olives, pate, garlic sausages, pretend-wine (red grape juice), girlz and machinery, and "dada, buy chateau".
Just eventually inevitable news, two brothers exhibited interest in erita, according to my wife, of course, and so the nightmare starts.
Better news, for now, Erita paid no particular attention to any of the boyz, misses her favorite horse tchiki chik but is reconciled for the mo to her new iPad screen pic of tchik chik.
This morning erita visited her school's website excitedly to see who shall be in her 3rd grade class, and so school starts in 10 days.
Jack woke up last night at 2:00am asking to go home, "like go home", opened the door of his room, looked around, satisfied that he was indeed home, laughed, ran around the rooms, and back to bed happy. This morning he wanted ice cream for breakfast instead of yogurt, now thinking that ice cream replaces yogurt for all occasions.
