Class action suits, a cash balance of 12 million, and statements like " Pending the outcome of these discussions and availability of adequate cash resources, PolyMedix plans to initiate the Phase 2B study later this year with results expected in the first half of 2013," & " With regulatory approval and adequate additional funding, the Company expects to begin clinical trials in cancer patients in the first half of 2013." No partners or money, but a lot of promise.
I would guess some larger companies are licking their chops, hoping to get these programs at firesale prices. If I were PYMX, I'd be trying to start a bidding war. The alternative seems to be several years of heinous financings, reverse splits, etc. I don't follow these guys much. Have they ever said they were interested in partnering or were talking to partners? Ever mentioned "strategic alternatives?"
Cuz it's time.
