Everyone is dependent on others. For the most part, this is a wonderful thing. Consider the communities of family, faith, even state and nation, that all work to enrich our lives (as well as, on occasion, make us miserable.)

Don't get me wrong. Poverty is a drag. My thinking is that many of us would be happier living within healthy, vibrant communities and would gladly give up many so-called freedoms to do so.

Money is not the secret to happiness. A necessary evil, perhaps. We remain ignorant of its workings at our own peril. But of all the things in the world to study, it ranks (in my book) as one of the more tedious. (Irony duly noted of posted this on an Investors website.)
