Hey techis, I just noticed that you were once big into GlobeTel (now WSGI). I have a soft-spot for that one. That's probably the first scam I ever started criticizing openly, first on Yahoo, and then next on IHUB. In fact, I think I first joined IHUB because I was following the GTE scam! It got booted off the AMEX to the OTC,.

Remember their CEO Timothy Huff, the self-proclaimed visionary and genius, and his slew of too-good-to-be-true PR's that initially thrust him into the spotlight, and then led to his downfall? Remember this piece from Motley Fool that blew the lid off the scam, but all the promoters and true-believers just dismissed it as a "hit piece"?:

I just checked the WSGI board, and some of the same bagholders are still there, posting the same thing 6 years later! LOL. It's probably gone through about 10 reverse splits, and it's trading at about 2 cents today.

Huff should be getting out of the slammer in 2014. I read somewhere recently that a judge just ordered him, while he's still in jail, to pay a $1.2 million civil penalty and disgorge $1.5 million for his role in the scam.

Remember the RUSSIAN WHALE BILLIONAIRES? The crazy promoters screaming every day that the "bashers" were all going to get sued for libel?

I'm tellin' ya, it's like all of these scammers and promoters keep reusing the same story, with slightly different versions, over and over again. There must be a Penny Stock Scammer gene.

Question: Why do you think some people keep falling for penny stock scam after penny stock scam, for many years? Why don't such people ever learn their lesson about these types of stocks?
