hello 2mar$, today's report:

bought gold this day.

coincidentally i had finished reading a book i started long ago, "boomerang" by michael lewis.

i had stopped reading the book in april at a point where i completed the tales re iceland, ireland and greece.

after a break of so many months last night i finished the last chapter, it was about california. the earlier stories about iig were just the warmups.

there shall be no interest rate increase. there must be printing, even as precious cashflow and profit shall dwindle.

we shall be saved by the fed even if it takes every one us us mounted on the wall.

while i am not yet leveraged, i must be at some sort of high mark in hoarding getgold (a noun) even as others hoard government paper. one or the other may be a false safe haven. time shall tell.

next step, leverage getgold. we wait a bit more.

cheers, tj

p.s. singapore shall remove the good sales tax on gold transactions as at october. the boyz from singapore are prepped to add gold domiciled on own island in addition to what they already hold in hong kong. net net positive.

some of the boyz are jumping the gun and simply converting all cash into gold, the physical. their fear is that the paper gold they hold in banks here may be declared by the banks at a critical juncture to be contractually redeemed in cash at some closing price before the next day's opening price is fixed at several hundred dollars higher. the paper gold wrap a/c contract at the banks allow the banks that freedom.

some boyz i know have to sell gold even if they have to take a holiday - they went way high on allocation.
