Replying to MANY posts from other boards:

It seems that option trading is viewed with a negative bias; doubting any stories other than failures. I don't quite understand why, nor did I understand why short sellers were so castigated for so long. Who puts a floor under the market in a severe drop if not short sellers?

I sell puts on stocks I would be happy to own at the strike price. Most of the time I do not get put the stock, thus banking the premium. I sold puts on EMR for months, WAG for months, etc. I make very good money, am rarely but sometimes wrong, and am not afraid to say so.

Most of my portfolio is in a divvy, reinvestment portfolio that will eventually be my income stream.

So what is wrong with options if they work for you? I have been a trader for over 15 years, so I am no rookie, nor am I ignorant of the risks. On my options alone I am up 20% for the year. No matter what someone says, I am happy with that!

I don't try to get the top 10% nor the bottom 10%, but what is in the middle is good money.
