That's an accurate way to frame the roll out; retail industry vs credit industry vs cell phone industry. Judging from the retail lineup in the article(including Best Buy, Loews and Sears), they are imo huge underdogs wrt control or large profits from the technology. Both the cell phone and credit industries MUST participate and profit prior to an end user transacting with a retailer.
