I can see why fisheries offices would want to carry firearms while out checking fishing boats. I sure would.

Know the Social Security offices have security officers, too, but now sure what they carry or how many of them there are.

Also, I know it takes several rounds to qualify once a year and then one familiarization range session 6 months later. The instructors also told me they use hollow points for 'practice' rather than cheaper 'training' ammo because they wanted us to be familiar with the ammo carried for duty. We shot up approximately 316 rounds for our twice a year range trainings, and then got a box of 50 for 'duty carry' once a year.

One would think if they're arming to repel possible civil unrest, they would be ordering more long gun ammo than handgun ammo.

Honestly, I am much more concerned about beating Obama in November, than I am about this ammo. Not minimizing the ammo purchases, but they just don't concern me as much as does the possibility of another term of Obama.

Everyone orders at the end of the fiscal year, to 'use up the money' allotted in their budget for security/training funds.
