Never had a chance to have a workshop with Ansel Adams - never even met him - but didn't miss the one with Jerry Uelsmann, in Florida where I was stationed back then. The Eglin USAF photo lab in which I worked had multiple enlargers with dial-in contrast filters and a paper processing machine, so I had an even more advanced darkroom in which to make Uelsmann-like prints from multiple negatives, than Jerry had back then. Burned though many 250 sheet boxes of Uncle Sam's 8x10 paper and learned more about printing during that workshop than any other time!
