Hi George,
Just saw a copy of WSP's new "The Diamond Exploration Process in The Camsell Lake Property" color brochure. Its very well done.
It talks about camp life at Snap as well as the entire tedious process of diamond exploration. I'm sure guys like you and Walt know all these things, but I found them fascinating.
For example, there's a section that speaks about GPS (Global Positioning Systems). Here's an excerpt of what it says...
"The GPS network of satellites, which surrounds the globe, allows users to locate their position within metres almost anywhere on the earth. A valuable application of this involves lining a GPS unit to a water depth sounder in a boat; the resultant position and depth data is fed into a GIS (Geographic Information System) where the depth information is converted into a colour coded map that allows the geologist to view the lake bottom and where combined with other data, to identify potential drill targets."
Pretty cool, huh? Wonder if this is part of WSP new high tech strategy for finding the pipe(s)? Hmmm....
Lots of pictures... Dr. P taking till samples, David McKee doing bathymetric surveys, scantily clad women (oops, wrong picture!), etc.
Talks about how supplies are flown in on the two prop jobs with floats (to land on lake in summer) or skis (to land in winter on ice).
Very well done. I suspect these will be handed out at the S.F. Mining Show. Hope they post this on their web site soon.
Cheerio,
Chris A.
P.S. Barry was awesome yesterday. He was unstoppable. |
