Bill if this is a mania , and it has some of the earmarks , it seems more concealed than some others,,,I worked on the trading floor as an order trader in the sixties when The Windfall market took place,,,it was crazy pandemonium ,,,stocks were trading in the square at two and three different prices at the same time,,,a rumour that a company had aquired a piece of property within 75 miles of the hit would send it's price spiralling....as soon as I filled a handfull of orders , I was handed another bundle...
maybe its hindsight , but since there is now a mediary,,The Funds"; the picture seems more cloudy,,,,
I'm not sure about this but it seems there was a bit of this in the Hi Tech sector recently,,and if I'm not mistaken , there is a lot of wounded out there...since I trade toronto , and mostly my stocks, I really don't follow , or even know the names of a lot of the NASDAQ darlings,,just the odd one , like ascend,,which looks like it needs a name change..<G>,,,this is why I mentioned following sectors,,,because there does seem to be bull and bears living on the same pasture..
