I don't see this as a good thing. We Americans have 5% of the world's population consuming 25% of the world's resources. Now, you're hoping for an "America" in China?

I like the idea of raising people up. But, if we want a large chunk of the world to live like Americans, we need to get that number way below 7 billion.

I see that as the ideal, a reduced global population living a better life. An idea that goes against almost every major religion selling their snake-oil today.
