I think XOM shares, which are trading at USD 88, fit the bill. If you had bought them in 1970, your cost basis would be USD 1.95. Dividend growth has averaged 6%. If you had reinvested the dividends, the return would have been phenomenal. I have not calculated it but, trust me, phenomenal.

XOM has wisely invested in enormous natgas reserves. I believe the chances of continuing its excellent long term performance are fairly good.
