Actually. I praised Reagan. I guess you missed it while chopping wood... -g-

The comparison was between people who have failed monumentally at one thing or another--yet still came to have incredible support subsequent to those failures.

! was not comparing the records of anyone, as is obvious--but now that you create that issue...

Taking into account the years of record (93 for Ronnie) and the accomplishments...certain things are clear. Ronnie was not even close on academic achievement or academic recognition. But his worldly wisdom (IMO) was far beyond Obama's ( again, more years of experience).

But let us be honest. Even when you put someone in as a patsy, you still need to sell a whole bunch of positives ( and damn few negatives ) to the public. And if you think being "black" in White Christian America is all this Harvard Grad lawyer, Nobel Prize Winner has on the table...then maybe you need another drink!

Why not be honest..it is his "blackness" that is your entire argument against him! :-) Be honest now!

Whereas, I can rationally take issues with his policies--and both praise and obstruct him! Don't you wish you could do that?!

Reagan was the right man for America at the time. I admire him. He was a good person.
