There is a big thing going on here because some people put a sandbox in the parking strip in front of their house. For months, the city has threatened to fine them. Now they are in negotiations to come up with a solution that is acceptable to both parties.

Well, there are people who want to live in restricted communities who protect their investments and those who want absolute freedom of action. I live in a region that is overly permissive...it's not uncommon to find a house here that has turned their front yard into a junk yard....you cringe going by it but there's nothing that can be done...the attitude is "this is my land and I do what I want with it"...


Yup. There has to be a balance. I am just saying that cities need to choose their battles carefully.
