There is currently a trend in America, were chinese buffet restaurants use vans of 15-18 seats to transport their workers all at once from a dormitory of adjacent apartments. This also applies to large family run eating places. The advantage is attendance of workers are better controlled for working long hours. Lowers the cost of living in dormitories and eating at place of work. . Some restaurants are now very successful without labor problems of the past.
