I think we were projecting our optimistic expectations on his answers that led us to assume that all was great. For example, he never said that yields on their new heads were good, just that (if my memory is correct) " In general, yields tend to improve over time." While we all took that to mean that yields were fine, the comment didn't preclude a hypothetical followup "but in the case of the 1.7 TFI heads, yields suck". i'd love to see someone call CC and address the TFI to MR transition - especially the comment by Haggerty that WDC was getting out of their 1.7 TFI program as quickly as possible. That statement sure didn't make me feel confident about continuing to hold APM (sounds like I might not be the only one to have held my shares). It's been an expensive education - I really feel like an idiot when I review my open orders and see a GTC sell on WDC at 55, which I placed when it hit 53 before I left for a vacation.
