Few people ever recognize the best and brightest. It is their cross to bear. Most of the geniuses I have read in my life grumble about the way they were treated thoughout life just for thinking.

Mark Twain wrote his true thoughts and told his daughter not to release them until he died. He was afraid of the ignorant masses. Darwin waited 20 years to release his Origin of species. Thomas Mann grumbled about it his whole life. Montaign said: the older I get the less I fear to say what is on my mind. And Einstein said there are only two things that are infinite, the universe and human stupidity and I am not sure about the universe.

And the great lesbian western singer Shely Wright was terrified of telling her country and western audience about beign gay fearing they would shun her. And shun her they did.
