Hi Gary, When I read your post I have to agree with you too. No, I'm not sitting on the fence, however it would appear that occasionally holding a stock long term (esp. a Tech stock could involve a loss) and selling too soon or trading could also involve a loss. So both strategies are right and one has to be happy with the profits one makes regardless of the way it was done. I found "buy and hold" works well for Canadian Bank stocks. They always go up and split and then rise again. However, the Canadian $$ is sinking and I'm very happy to have my portfolio in the US market. SR
