I don't see the moral choice in "except for rape and incest." If you consider abortion murder, then "murder is murder."

For eons, it's been accepted that it isn't murder to kill in self-defense. So there's one example when "murder" isn't murder.

In the case of rape or incest, I don't consider abortion to be a crime. It's a weighing of the respective human rights of the mother and child. But as a method of birth control in the case of consensual sex between adults, abortion is barbaric. I wouldn't put it on a par with "murder" with a punishment of life in prison, though.
