No Gersh, there are not 'a lot of cases' of going to the wrong address, etc. there are a few cases of that, and these are repeated, spread, modified and repeated again, in their new form, then passed around back and forth so many times, that anyone wanting to believe there are a lot of these cases will count every time they hear the same story as another case, and multiply that by thousands in their minds, because after all "if it happened here" ....
People with a hard on for the cops will continue to rationalize their own irrational beliefs any way they possibly can ... so they can continue their irrational beliefs.
You actually think a cop WANTS to kick down the wrong door? You really think a cop WANTS to get in a physical altercation with some big drunk or doper who considers himself (or herself) to be some martial arts champion, or some such delusional ideas in their head ... only to be multiplied by the booze or drugs? You think any cop really WANTS to have to shoot another human being?

Just because your ideas about marijuana don't always coincide with the laws concerning marijuana, doesn't mean you blame that on the cops ... after all the laws existed before you formed your beliefs .. so tell me ... who is actually the 'culprit' when you or one of your like-minded citizens becomes involved in a scrape with a cop trying to do his or her sworn duties?
Are there few bad cops? Sure... Are there multitudes of lawbreaking citizens? Certainly.
With those odds ... why is it you can only imagine every police - citizen encounter as one in which the big bad asshole cops are picking on the innocent, law abiding citizen?
