Justa,

I went over to marketplayer.com to look at SFAM and other
CMP players. The numbers I looked at were:

11/26 2Yr 2Yr Est EstPE/
Tkr Description Price High Low P/E P/Bk P/S LTG ROE
AMAT APPLIED MA 32.19 54 11 15.0 4.49 3.28 0.64 29.9
IPEC INTEGRATED 21.25 38 10 15.5 2.60 2.18 0.54 16.8
SFAM SPEEDFAM I 26.31 61 10 13.0 2.05 1.80 0.49 15.8
LRCX LAM RESH C 30.88 69 20 17.9 1.55 0.99 0.87 8.7

Marketplayer's estimated P/Es are for the Next Twelve Months and
reflect the most current estimates available from the IBES database.
In addition, they've got some dynamite Java Charting capabilities for plotting by:
Price, Volume
Relative Performance
On Balance Volume
Bollinger Bands
Price & EPS Estimates
Price & P/E
Price & Surprise
Estimates & Surprise
Relative P/E

What case would you make for buying SFAM rather than LRCX? i.e. Lam
has better P/Bk, P/Sales and its ROE can be expected to rise rapidly
as Sales pick up.

Regards,

Ian.
