Although I am quite content with the outcome in this case, you're mistake about what I promote. I would like to see Mobile Court Units that arrest mobs of violent perpetrators, collect evidence on the scene, interview witnesses, take statements from the perpetrators and proceed immediately to trial if the evidence of guilt is beyond a shadow of a doubt. When found guilty, sentence executions and take the perps to a large gas chamber and carry out the sentences. If there is reasonable doubt of guilt, the proceedings would stop and the perps would be remanded to the slower section of the criminal justice system with an eventual court house trial, etc.
My solution is for cases where, for example, a perp and his friends video-record themselves shooting a pregnant woman to death in the stomach, then laughing while looking into the recorder and saying, "gotz me a twofer, yo! put a cap in her white azz. no mo white beeotch and no white beeotchz crybaby comin'. Vote my video up, peeps."
For monsters like that, their right to a speedy trial should be tried en route to the gas chamber. -ng- |
