I had a great life (because I live in a great country) and never used any welfare of any kind even though I came out of a working class neighborhood and was poor. I worked my way through 6 years of university often working in factories and hamburger stand all night and going straight to my classes. All of my concern, let me repeat, ALL of my concern is for those less fortunate than myself. I believe I am my brothers keeper. Period!! I do not believe greed is good. I believe compassion and kindness are good! That is what I taught my kids and also how I think one establishes their validity as a human being.
