Additionally, it is my feeling that John and Sam did not like the message of the author's previous works so that they are predisposed to shooting the messenger rather than reading the current message.
I am happy to agree and disagree with you, but I don't appreciate these false characterizations of my views. Sam can speak for himself.

As I have said several times, I have two problems with Murray. The first you correctly identify as his views. But I read all sorts of people whose views I disagree with, so long as I think I can learn from their arguments, and they make their arguments responsibly. Murray, second, violated that in his earlier work. And did it in a way that it was clearly in the long line of folk who work only ideologically: how best to distort the data to make their point.

You have yet to offer a serious reason why anyone should read this book; just that the issue is important. If, however, the latest no nothing tea party US House member writes about global warming, she/he is clearly writing about an important issue. Just not writing anything I care to read.

Just be honest here.
