I would need more information, and more certainty about the reliability of the information, before forming any strong opinion. How many are really being rounded up? How much is it really focused on veterans? (not that locking up non-veterans who shouldn't be locked up is any less problematic, but if its focused on veterans it might indicate its more political, rather than just over-zealousness). What are the details of the situations for the individuals in question? How long are the people being held for (not that a short hold is not cause for concern, but the longer the worse, unless there is strong justification). How much can I rely on the answers to any of these questions actually being the truth?... If there is some strong trend here, I think getting more information out is important. OTOH stories like this are often at least exaggerated and sometimes largely false. But then again there is some questionable action against at least a few individuals here, so there is still an issue, even if its possibly not as large as some claim. ---- Or to cut to the chase, and give one short answer - I need to know more.
